‘Miss’ and ‘maiden name’ will be deleted from the adminitrative forms in France.

I think it’s a really good thing because I don’t like that women are ‘Mrs’ only if they get married. Men don’t have any equivalent. They’re always ‘Mr’. When you’re a woman, you ‘level up’, you become a ‘Mrs’ and you take your husband’s name, because you’re his property now…and I don’t like that at all. Men keep their name, I know some couples decide to share a combination of their names but it’s rare.

Why state this on administrative forms? It’s not even usefull! To tell the truth, it has been almost 3 years now I write that I’m a ‘Madame’ and not a ‘Mademoiselle’ on the administrative forms and I’ve never had any problems.

So FUCK YEAH! I’m now MADAME Eloise Schneider and I will never take the name of someone else.
